> DAY 1: Barcelona

Welcome to Spain, a land that offers Moorish palaces, Gothic cathedrals, Roman Aqueducts, modern artwork, delicious food and wine, fertile planes, crystal clear seas and soaring mountains all in one amazing country! Upon arrival at the Barcelona airport you will be met and transferred to your luxury hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure exploring the unique blend of traditional and modern architecture and discovering the delicious local cuisine. > DAY 2: Barcelona – Barcelona Modernism Walking Tour

Discover the Quadrat d’or, Golden Square, on a private guided tour of the Eixample district. This exceptional area was the focus of Barcelona's Modernism style (Art Nouveau) at the end of the 19th Century and beginning of the 20th. Take a leisurely stroll through this beautiful neigborhood and admire the Catalan Modernism style buildings by architects as Antonio Gaudi, Domenech i Montaner and Puig i Cadafalch, to name just a few. The highlight of the tour will be seeing the Martí, Palacio de la Musica, modernism houses such as the Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, Casa Lleo i Morera, and Casa Terrades, as well as Gaudi’s world famous Sagrada Familia! > DAY 3:  Barcelona

Enjoy a day at leisure soaking up the rich culture of Barcelona’s vibrant streets or experience the local flavors on an optional Gourmet Tapas Discover tour. Ask your Leisure Consultant about their favorite sites and activities in the city. (B)

> DAY 4: Barcelona, Madrid

After breakfast you will be transferred to the rail station and board a high-speed train for Madrid. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your luxury hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. (B)

> DAY 5: Madrid – Madrid Old Quarter and Royal Palace Walking Tour

Marvel at the rich history of Madrid on your private walking tour of Madrid’s historic center and the Royal Palace. Meet your licensed English-speaking guide at your hotel and set off together through the historic streets of Madrid. Discover the old quarter, the Barrio de la Moreria, and learn about the city’s Moorish roots then take in the Renaissance and Baroque buildings of the Habsburg era in Calle Mayor, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa. After our walking tour through Madrid old quarter visit the impressive Royal Palace, former residence of the Spanish Kings. The palace is adorned with the royal family’s exquisite collection of tapestries, porcelain, antique clocks, armor and artworks. Admire priceless paintings by Goya and Velazquez, as well as the official Reception Hall, the Royal Chapel, Hall of the Throne and the private room of King Carlos III and Queen Isabel II. (B)

> DAY 6: Madrid

Enjoy your day at leisure exploring the city’s exceptional museums and spectacular architecture or take an optional day trip to Toledo known as the city of three cultures, where Christians, Jews and Arabs lived together in harmony for centuries. > DAY 7: Madrid, Lisbon

After breakfast you will be transferred to the Madrid airport and board your flight to Lisbon. Upon arrival you will be met by your private driver and transferred to your luxury hotel. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure soaking up the beautiful architecture and unique atmosphere of this seaside city. (B)

> DAY 8: Lisbon

This morning set off to discover the must-see monuments of Lisbon together with your private guide. Start off in the historic Belem neighborhood. It was from here that many of the great Portuguese explorers embarked on their voyages of discovery: Prince Henry the Navigator and the first overseas expedition to conquer Ceuta in Morocco, Bartholomeu Dias to round the Cape of Good Hope, the first voyages of Ferdinand Magellan, and Vasco da Gama to discover the sea route to India. See the Belem Tower which was built in 1515 as fortress to guard the entrance to Lisbon’s harbor and the Discovery Monument which was built in honor of the great Henry the Navigator, who led Portugal’s discovery expeditions into the New World during the country’s heyday in the 15th century. Next visit Jeronimo's Monastery, the most impressive symbol of Portugal's power and wealth during the Age of Discovery. King Manuel I built it in 1502 to commemorate Vasco Da Gama's voyage and to give thanks to the Virgin Mary for its success. Following the river bank towards the Commerce Square, we’ll pass by the Alfama neighborhood which highlights the city’s Moorish legacy and then head to Pombalina district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the lively Rossio Square, Liberty Avenue and the Marques of Pombal roundabout.

> DAY 9: Lisbon

Spend a day at your leisure taking in the rich culture and delicious food of Portugal’s capital city or take an option day trip to Sintra, one of most beautiful region in Portugal. Explore this magnificent medieval village with its 14th century Royal Palace and enjoy its quaint atmosphere and souvenirs shops. Ask your Leisure Travel Consultant for recommendations on the best places to visit. (B)

> DAY 10: Departure

After breakfast you will be transferred to the Lisbon airport to meet your flight home. (B)
